Thursday 11st September: A ride to Settle from Bolton-by-Bowland.

Here we are at Bolton-by-Bowland ready for the first leg of the ride to Long Preston.

Enjoying our elevenses in the tea room at Long Preston.

The start of the climb over the moor to Settle via Hunter Bark.

Approaching Hunter Bark and the highest point of today's ride.

At the summit we try to recruit a new member, have a breather and take in the distant views.

Here it is! The obligatory, compulsory and essential view of the food, taken at the Singing Kettle in Settle, highly recommended!

Getting ready for the afternoon's return journey over Tosside.

Our group climbing the long ascent from Rathmel.

Never co-opt a Shetland pony and his entourage to lead a ride, we almost ended up back in Wigglesworth, anyway that's my excuse, and no we didn't get to Tosside, but the route was quite pleasant!

It's the wellie versus the wheel again, I know which I'd choose.

That’s it folk! Click here to read some this year’s ride reports, to checkout the forthcoming events page to see where the Group is going next and don’t forget post comment on our forum.
