Saturday 10th  May: A ride to Morecambe.

Here are some members of the 'Cafe Crawlers' living up to their name! We decided to have a slightly longer ride today, so we started from Glasson Dock, and took the traffic free cycleway to Morecambe. We usually ride on and around the West Pennine Moors, anyone not familiar with that area can now use it's official website www.westpenninemoors.com  to see maps, local information and tourist attractions etc..

The end of the road! High tide at the Stone Jetty, Morecambe.

Looking back into Morecambe, with the Stone Jetty cafe in the foreground, and the Midland Hotel behind it.

Theo decides that this cycling lark is too much like hard work, and decides to take the train back to Glasson Dock, after all most of the route is on an old railway line! I didn't take any more photos on the ride, I didn't think that my camera would stand up to the heavy rain and hail, blown by almost gale force winds into our faces.
